THE SPIRIT OF SUCCESS
I have seen people fight over money; I have seen brothers kill themselves over land, houses, properties, titles and many other inheritable things. It's a good thing to inherit something from parents but then I remembered the story of Esau and Jacob. I don't recall where Jacob ran away with their father's land documents neither do I see him running away with credit cards, gold or the camels, horses or even servants. Using our modern day way of taking over properties, he is supposed to drive away his elder brother and inherit every land, camels, horses and etc. All I see is a young man, running out through the backyard with one small bag, no extra shoes, no servant, no maid, probably one horse but one thing was certain, he was in such a hurry.
I also see Esau coming back, everything around is in order, all the servants are there. The lands have not been taken over and fenced. He entered the kitchen and cooked, not even a spoon was missing. He prepared the meal and went in to see his father, passed through the sitting room, the chairs were complete, (If it is in our day, I would say that the 20ft Satellite 3D Tv was still there, the Range Rover Sports 2018 model, the Limousine was still there), nothing seemed missing until his father told him.
Think about this; the prodigal son took his share of inheritance in CASH and left, his brother didn't come chasing him but Jacob left with no cash or gold but he was declared wanted and worthy of death.
DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
The root of success is not in cash or properties. What Jacob stole was not just a blessing but a spirit. The spirit of success, the spirit that gives understanding in business, the spirit that enabled him see a better way of taking care of his uncle's sheep. The spirit that made him see opportunities and position himself to make gain. The spirit that made him out-smart his uncle, Laban and got more than him, in the sharing of his business. Was it a co-incidence that the place Jacob laid a stone as his pillow had a spiritual-ladder linking heaven with earth and having angels go up and down? (Gen. 28:11-18) No, Jacob was guided to a place of encounter by the spirit of success. Jacob experienced an Open Heaven. The spirit of success guides a man through processes that will make him fly in life. Do you remember that after the open heaven encounter, the same “run-away” Jacob wrestled an angel? A man with the spirit of success will succeed even if you dump him in a strange land and he has to sleep under the bridge.
What you need is not capital but the spirit of success. What you need is not connection but the spirit that guides you to be in the right place at the right time for the right job. Hey! Forget those people that didn't help you. They can't give what they don't have. They can't help you.
Seek God, don't ask for money, you can spend and waste it.
In this season of Open Heavens, desire the spirit of success.
See you at the top.
